Partner, Beth Houghton, recently appeared as a guest panellist for ClearlySo at their first ever UK Impact Investment Funds Conference.
The Conference brought together a wide spectrum of professionals working within the investment industry and sparked an insightful discussion and debate around impact investment funds.
Beth heads up Palatine’s maiden Impact Fund, which targets companies that make a positive social and/or environmental impact while generating market rate returns. The Fund closed at £100m in 2017 and to date has invested in three businesses; edays, an employee absence management tool, Tradeskills4U, a provider of electrical training courses and Estio Training, an IT and digital apprenticeship programme.
Beth was keen to contribute at the conference as ClearlySo have been supportive of Palatine’s Impact Fund from the beginning and were instrumental in identifying target sectors for the fund.
