icelolly.com has been announced as the winner of Best Travel Comparison Website at the prestigious 2019 British Travel Awards.

The announcement was made on 27 November at a glamorous Gala Awards ceremony, held in London and attended by nearly a thousand travel industry people.

In addition to winning the Gold Award in the Best Travel Comparison Website category, icelolly.com – which was named the UK’s largest website comparing holiday packages and deals by leading competitive intelligence and research company, Hitwise, earlier this year – received a Silver Award in the Best Travel Deals Provider category.

“To win a Silver award in the Best Travel Deals Provider category and be named Best Travel Comparison Website at the British Travel Awards is a tremendous achievement for icelolly.com,” said Richard Singer, CEO, icelolly.com.  “I am delighted that the team has been recognised for their exceptional efforts in making icelolly.com the successful business it is today.”

icelolly’s stature as one of the UK’s leading travel brands has been recognised by customers and the industry alike this awards season. In addition to its success at the British Travel Awards, the company, which is based on Park Row in Leeds City Centre, was named Travel Brand of the Year and recognised as Best Metasearch at the Travolution Awards on 14 November, which celebrate innovation and excellence in travel focussing on brands in online, digital and tech. The company was also named Best Travel Comparison Website at the Travelmole Awards, which were held on 20 November and recognise the best of web, social and mobile in the travel industry.

icelolly.com is to be congratulated on winning Best Travel Comparison Website at the British Travel Awards 2019. Competition was particularly strong this year but ultimately it is the travelling public who decide the winners by voting for the travel companies they consider the best in the business. The British Travel Awards is the largest awards programme in the UK and to win is truly an accolade.
